All Dolled Up
All Dolled Up came to be...well...all of a sudden. I found myself “in the zone” one Winter night a few years ago and I sat down and hit “record” on my mixing board. About an hour later, half of this collection was “written.” I took the next day off of work and completed the remaining numbers, one after the other, the thoughts snapping through my brain ceaselessly. Every number is improvised and recorded in a “single take” without any post editing. In all, I spent no more than two hours or so mostly fiddling with the dials and jotting down some very sketchy notes to myself. Sadly, there are no written scores for any of this music. But I thought it might be a pleasant surprise to share the entire set here, nevertheless. I hope you enjoy what was going through my head that night. (CDs are available if you ask me. Or you can burn your own.)
